|SUBJECT:||Kogod School of Business Dean Michael Ginzberg
I am writing to inform you of a leadership transition in the Kogod School of Business. Dean Michael Ginzberg will step down from the deanship later this month and will serve full-time in his faculty appointment in Kogod’s Department of Information Technology. A process to identify an interim dean from the Kogod faculty is already underway and will be announced by the end of this month. The interim dean will guide the school through a national search for a new dean.
I want to thank Michael Ginzberg for three years of dedicated service to Kogod and the AU community. As dean, he helped launch the Professional MBA program, assisted in promoting Kogod and fostering collaborations throughout the world, led the school through a strategic planning process, cultivated academic centers, co-chaired a campus-wide faculty retreat, served as an advisor to me along with the other deans, and worked tirelessly for the betterment of the school. In that time, he has made many friends in the school and throughout the university who will miss his presence as dean. Michael will remain part of our community and will continue to contribute meaningfully through his teaching, research, and service as a professor in the school of business.
Please join me in thanking Michael Ginzberg for his service and wishing him well on his transition to the faculty.
