New Media Center
Open to the entire AU community, the New Media Center offers top-of-the-line Macintosh OSX computers, fully dedicated to creative applications for video and audio editing, graphic design, web design, and motion graphics. The NMC is also equipped with two high-quality Epson image scanners, a high-resolution color laser printer and a black-and-white laser printer. The NMC's digital editing stations support Mini-DV, HDV, Beta and VHS input and output capabilities. Available software applications include: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack, QuickTime Pro, iMovie, iDVD, Garage Band and more. NMC 2.0 Lab
Students, take advantage of the new NMC 2.0 lab, with dual-screen, Mac Pro editing suites. Now with 6 computers, NMC 2.0 is open daily at 4pm Monday - Thursday and Sunday on an as needed basis. Reservations are recommended, especially to use the Beta deck.
Model Classroom
Faculty, if you would like to teach in the new Model Classroom, a recently renovated high-tech classroom with on-site support from CTRL staff, contact the NMC manager at ext. 2797.

Digital Still, Video Camera, and Audio Equipment Loans
With an AU ID, NMC equipment can be borrowed for one business day - free of charge: Panasonic and Canon miniDV cameras, FlipVideo and Kodak USB cameras, still cameras, digital audio recorders, tripods, and microphones. Reservations are recommended. For reservations or more information, contact the New Media Center at extension 2560 or IM newmediactr.
Printing Costs

Black-and-white laser printing is 10 cents per page. Color laser printing is one dollar per page.
