Mailing Address

The Faculty Corner is a one-stop resource, designed exclusively for faculty to receive assistance with their technology and teaching needs. The Corner facilitates professional interaction between faculty members in a relaxed environment. Services include Blackboard support, statistical packages support, web/graphic/multimedia support, video editing & image/text scanning.

Faculty are encouraged to use our resources personally. You can, however, have your TA check out a laptop with a special permission slip. If your TA requires additional assistance or resources, please check into your individual departments. For special circumstances please call and speak with one of our managers.

Borrow Equipment

AU Faculty members have the privilege of being able to check out and use equipment to assist with course teachings and research abilities. Reservations may be made over-the-phone, in-person.or by email. DO reserve you equipment in advance of your class to ensure that your classroom needs can be met for your lesson plans.

Software

Software supported in the Faculty Corner include MS Office 2007, SAS, SPSS, EViews, Stata, StatTransfer, Adobe's CS3 & CS4 Suite which include Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Professional, Apple's Final Cut Pro Video Editing Suite, Audacity's Audio Editing Software, CeltX scriptwriting software, and Finale Notepad.

Hardware

Hardware includes four Dell PCs with Intel Pentium IV Processors, a G5 Mac that provides faculty members for digital video editing and video authoring, and an auto-feeding text recognizing scanner that can create PDFs and MS Word documents.
