The University Honors Program recognizes outstanding Honors students, faculty and staff members through awards given at the annual Honors Awards Ceremony.
This year's ceremony and reception were on Wednesday, February 20. A complete list of honorees is available through this page's "Downloads" section. The University Honors Program congratulates all 2013 Honors Award recipients.
Honors students can be nominated by other students, faculty or staff, or they can self-nominate for an Honors Award. Nominations should include a brief description--of 75 words or fewer, ideally--of how and why the nominee meets the criteria for one of the following award groups:
Outstanding Honors Freshman
These students have distinguished themselves through emerging leadership and intellectual curiosity in their classes, their communities, and their extracurricular pursuits.
Outstanding Honors Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and the Scholars and Artists Award
These students’ passion for a subject—or for their studies in general—has carried over into extracurricular pursuits, and their classwork and course selections reflect a growing expertise as well as broad-ranging interests.
Students who may be considered for the highly selective Scholars and Artists Award may have presented papers or other significant projects at conferences or in other contexts on campus or beyond AU. When possible, please share details about these accomplishments.
Honors students are also eligible for the highly selective awards listed below:
Outstanding Leadership in Honors
