An introductory survey of Asian art that emphasizes Buddhist painting, architecture, calligraphy, and sculpture of India, China, Korea, and Japan from ancient to contemporary. Explores religious meaning, spiritual aesthetics, and the reinvention of religious tradition. Usually offered every fall.
