Introduction to the Arts of Japan (3) A survey of the arts in Japan from ancient to contemporary that covers a wide range of materials, including sculpture, calligraphy, ink, paintings, architecture, photography, and woodblock prints. Emphasizes historical and social contexts and the relations of power involved in the viewing and collection of Japanese art.
