Media Production Boot Camp

This 3-week course instructs students in essential skills for production. Focusing on a digital skill set, students work on practical exercises to get up to speed for the expectations of SOC graduate programs. Exercises concentrate on the following areas: camera and lighting, location and post production audio, non-linear editing (NLE), digital imaging, web portfolio/HTML basics, writing, and gaming/interactives. The structure of the exercises prepares students for the more intensive exploration of these concepts in their SOC courses and helps builds cohorts within and across divisions. Prerequisite: admission to SOC graduate program.
