An overview of the contemporary British media industry, its wider social and political contexts, and the historical development of the UK's distinctive media culture. The course explores the roles, functions, and practices of Britain's print and electronic media, including debates concerning content and structural regulation and implications for developing technology. Usually offered every term. Prerequisite: minimum 2.5. GPA.
