Course Level: Graduate
This course examines neurological and developmental aspects of learning disabilities, and gives an overview of the field. The class examines emotional and social implications of learning disabilities, and how current brain research impacts teaching and counseling this population. Emphasis is on seeking the strengths, fostering the different intelligences, and addressing the weaknesses of children and adults with learning disabilities. Prerequisite: EDU-541 or EDU-545, or permission of instructor.
