FIN-573 Corporate Valuation and Financial Strategy (3)

Course Level: Undergraduate/Graduate

Corporate Valuation and Financial Strategy (3) Examines ways to increase firm value through corporate restructuring. Includes the theoretical background on restructuring, valuation techniques, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, divestiture activities, LBOs, and financial distress. Reviews theory and practice through case analysis and emphasizes valuation analysis and the role of financial markets in each area. Prerequisite: FIN-365 and FIN-468 or FIN-469, or FIN-614.
