The Modernist Explosion: Culture and Ideology in Europe FA2 (3) Studies the development of the modernist movement in Europe in the first third of the twentieth century, with special emphasis on the German Weimar republic, 1918-1933. The course examines primary works of literature, visual art, music, and film (in English translation) in the context of political history. Taught in English. Usually Offered: spring.
