Politics in the Television Age (3)

Course Level: Undergraduate

The relationship between television and American politics. Includes the concept of news; the changing role of television; the politics of newsmaking; the election campaign and the emergence of the political consultant; "tele-diplomacy"; and research tools for analyzing television news. Usually offered every term. Prerequisite: GOVT-110, and minimum 2.5 GPA.
