This course examines the agencies which make up the intelligence community and activities in which those agencies engage: collection of intelligence, counterintelligence, covert action, and analysis. The sources of conflict between members, direction and management of the community, secrecy and public control, and proposals for reform are also covered. Guest participants from research institutes and government; independent authors. Usually offered every spring.
