Course Level: Graduate
A consideration of the principles that differentiate pre-modern political thought from modern political thought. Readings include Aristophanes, Plato, and Aristotle. In alternate years, such authors as Thucydides, Xenophon, Cicero, Plutarch and others are considered selectively. Meets with GOVT-403. Usually offered every fall.
