Concepts, approaches, and methodologies of research in political science and public administration; probability, sampling; quantitative data analysis, including hypothesis testing and estimation; qualitative data analysis and measures of association. Usually offered every fall. Prerequisite: admission to Ph.D. program or permission of the director of doctoral programs.
