Strategies in Stress Management (3)

Course Level: Undergraduate

The nature and causes of stress, its effect on the human body, and both cognitive behavioral approaches as well as relaxation techniques to control it. The course offers a holistic approach to stress management through a combination of lecture and skill-building activities. Methods include deep breathing, mental imagery, progressive muscular relaxation, muscle massage, art therapy, journal writing, value assessment and clarification, physical exercise, and meditation. Usually offered every term.
