Islamic Finance in the Global Economy (3) This course provides students with an introduction and overview of the principles of Islamic financing and its evolution over the centuries with an emphasis on the last four decades. The different products are presented and discussed with reference to modern conventional products in the marketplace. The course covers current Islamic capital markets and the institutions that are major players in those markets, as well as issues related to insurance, accounting and auditing, and ethical concepts.
