Fashion and Luxury Brand Management (3) This course is an introduction to the marketing and branding practices followed in high-fashion and luxury products. The course provides students with an understanding of the luxury market across a variety of industries with particular emphasis on the fashion industry. Students learn to identify and understand the basic elements of effective luxury marketing. Topics include brand positioning, brand extensions, developing brand equity, distribution and the role of the Internet, and the challenges faced by counterfeiting. Prerequisite: MKTG-300 or MKTG-250.
