BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

4. "Homeland defense" means the protection of state territory, population,
and critical infrastructure and assets against attacks from within or
without the state.
NEW SUBSECTION. 1A. "Homeland security" means the detection, prevention,
preemption, deterrence of, and protection from attacks targeted at state territory,
population, and infrastructure.
