TITLE 3. STATE COMMISSION ON PUBLIC SAFETY TECHNOLOGY AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

§ 3-102. Established; membership [Title subject to abrogation]
This section established a State Commission on Public Safety Technology and Critical Infrastructure that consisted of 19 members, including, among others, a member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President of the Senate, a member of the House of Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of the House, the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals or the Chief Judge's designee, the Chief Information Technology Officer in the Department of Budget and Management, Secretaries from other agencies, and members appointed by the governor.

§ 3-106. Duties and powers [Title subject to abrogation]
(a) Duties. -- The Commission shall:
(1) Recommend to the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals standards, procedures, or protocols to ensure the compatibility and interoperability ofcommunication and information management systems maintained by the judiciary;
(2) Adopt regulations, including standards, procedures, or protocols, to ensure:
(i) The compatibility and interoperability of communication and information management systems maintained by State public safety units; and
(ii) Accessibility by other appropriate entities to public safety and criminal
justice databases;

§ 3-107. Interaction with State and federal units [Title subject to abrogation]
The Commission shall consult and cooperate with:
(1) Other states and federal units to provide reasonable compatibility and
interoperability between State communication and information management system
standards and any nationally established standard; and
(2) Other units of State, county, or municipal government concerning standards for compatibility and interoperability of communication and information management systems.

§ 3-108. Reports [Title subject to abrogation]
(a) Annual reports. -- On or before December 1 of each year, the Commission
shall submit a report of its recent activities to the Governor[…]
(b) Ongoing reports. -- On an ongoing basis, the Commission shall inform the
Department of Budget and Management, the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee,
the House Appropriations Committee, the House Health and Government Operations
Committee and the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals whether communication
and information management systems supported by State funds comply with applicable
standards.
