INFRASTRUCTURE INFORMATION
After
President George W. Bush issued the Executive Order on Critical Infrastructure
Protection on October 16, 2001, several states enacted their own legislation
regarding such policy. A query of the Lexis Nexis database found that as of
November 13, 2003, ten states have enacted legislation that specifically addresses
critical infrastructure protection. They are: Alabama, Arizona, Iowa, Maine,
Maryland, Nevada, New York, Texas and Virgina. The following is a synopsis of
excerpts from state legislation that concern access to critical infrastructure
information.
