Yellow Ribbon Program

SIS supports American University’s participation in the Yellow Ribbon program for eligible veterans. Veterans do not have to pay the application fee to SIS graduate programs. Public Policy in International Affairs (PPIA)

SIS offers 2/3-full tuition scholarships to all newly admitted PPIA fellows. Application fee waivers are also available. For more information on the undergraduate PPIA program, please visit: http://www.ppiaprogram.org/

Institute for International and Public Policy (IIPP)

SIS offers a generous in-kind fellowship to all incoming eligible participants in the undergraduate IIPP program. IIPP fellows have their application fees waived. Pickering Fellowship

Charles B. Rangel Fellowship

SIS offers bridging funds to all recipients of the Charles Rangel Fellowship. For more information on the Rangel fellowship, please visit: http://www.rangelprogram.org/

Peace Corps - Master’s International Program

SIS is now a proud participant in the Peace Corps Master’s International program. Master’s International participants jointly pursue graduate school and Peace Corps service. McNAIR FELLOWS

SIS offers at least one fellowship yearly to newly admitted graduate students who were participants in the McNair program as undergraduates. McNair Fellows also have their application fees waived. For more information on the McNair program, please visit http://mcnairscholars.com/

Fulbright Fellowship

SIS works closely with IIE and Fulbright officers from around the world and may offer matching funds to eligible Fulbright Fellows. For more information on the Fulbright program, please visit: http://fulbright.state.gov/

Colfurturo

SIS will provide a scholarship of 50% tuition for up to five admitted full-time SIS graduate students who are selected as beneficiaries of Colfuturo each academic year. SIS will offer this support for master's students for a period of two years and for PhD students for four years. For more information on Colfurturo, please visit: http://www.colfuturo.org

Organization of American States (OAS) Fellowship

Each academic year, the School of International Service will provide a 20% tuition discount for up to five qualified GAS scholarship and / or Rowe Fund loan recipients admitted to an SIS graduate program. Those same discounts shall apply to any OAS scholarship and loan recipients already enrolled at the School of International Service prior to receiving an OAS scholarship unless the scholarship and loan recipients have already been admitted under a more favorable arrangement.
