Finance Your Future: For Prospective Students

Fellowships

SIS fellowships are available to students with outstanding academic achievements and are offered at the time of admission. These fellowships can be a combination of tuition remission, stipend, and/or research assistantship awards. The fellowships are awarded based on the same factors that influence the admissions process. These awards are highly competitive - approximately 10-15% of SIS students receive them every year. There is no separate application for the fellowships - students who indicated on their application that they would like to be considered for aid will automatically be reviewed for all eligible fellowships if their application materials are all received by the SIS Graduate Admissions Office by the program application deadline. SIS offers five different fellowships to incoming graduate students at the time of admission, described below.

SIS Dean's Fellowship (PhD students only)

This award is offered for up to 4 years to admitted PhD students. It includes full tuition remission, a $19,200 stipend (during the academic year), and the opportunity to work with an SIS faculty member.
