ASEAN Studies Center | Event Archive



The ASEAN Studies Center hosts lectures, seminars, and conferences that advance knowledge and analysis of ASEAN for academic and policy communities. The ASEAN Studies Center also collaborates with D.C. think tanks, government agencies, embassies, and other organizations in the interest of contributing to the vibrant policy dialogue centered on Southeast Asia.

December 9: Campus Life and Career Objectives in the U.S. and Malaysia, discussion between students from American University and University Malaysia Pahang, co-hosted by University Malaysia Pahang

November 6: Young American Voices on Malaysia and Southeast Asia Roundtable, panel discussion by Carl-Gustav Anderson of the National Academy of Sciences, and Crystal Corman, Erica Seng, and Cassie Stephenson, M.A. candidates at American University; co-hosted by the Malaysia-America Society

November 4: Obama in Asia: Updating and Accessing U.S. policy in Southeast Asia,

October 9: Malaysia-U.S. Strategic Partnership Conference, featuring leading scholars and officials from Malaysia and the United States, co-hosted by the Asian Leadership and Strategy Institute (ASLI), Malaysia, and supported by the Malaysia-America Society and East-West Center in Washington, D.C.
