"Prospects of Russia’s Accession to WTO: Internal and External Challenges" with David Bosco, Mark Katz, Center Director Mamuka Tsereteli, & Ariel Cohen
The Center for Black Sea-Caspian Studies, part of the American University’s School of International Service, has been created to focus scholarly attention on the increasingly important Black Sea-Caspian region. Broadly defined, this region includes Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Through research, analysis, and innovative collaboration with local counterparts, the Center is initiating several studies to develop comprehensive multidisciplinary knowledge and understanding of the region’s pressing security, political, economic, and societal problems, as well as its potential. We will dedicate special effort to the genesis and analysis of the region’s conflicts and creative means of conflict prevention and resolution.
Are you a graduate student interested in obtaining a deeper knowledge of the geopolitical environment of the Black Sea-Caspian region while spending the summer in Georgia? Consider applying for Dr. Tsereteli's summer course in Georgia entitled "Geopolitics of the Black Sea Caspian Region: Political and Economic Security in a Complex Geopolitical Environment".
