CIDP Tuition and Fees, 2012-2013 Academic Year*
Fall and Spring Semester Courses: $1399 per credit (3 credits per course) Summer Semester Courses: $2500 per course (summer tuition calculated per course)
The CIDP Master’s program is a total of 39 credits. The program offers the flexibility of being completed in one year (Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters) or on a part-time basis over 2-3 years. Total tuition depends on the semesters during which courses are taken.
There may be additional costs for books and materials which are charged on a per course basis and determined by the faculty teaching the course.
Students also are assessed an Program Fee per semester of $750 for Full-Time (9 credit hours and above) or $500 for Part-Time (6 to 8 credit hours) enrollment.
Students who withdraw from classes will receive tuition refunds as specified by the American University refund schedule. Students resident in the state of Maryland who withdraw from classes will receive tuition refunds in accordance with the Maryland Higher Education Commission's requirements as specified in Title 13B.05.01.10 of the Code of Maryland Regulations.
The Nippon Foundation will award up to fifteen full fellowships per year to CIDP students. Preference will be given to students from the ASEAN region who are blind or visually impaired; deaf or hard of hearing; and/or mobility impaired. These full fellowships include tuition, books, required assistive technology, and other support services for recipients.
