Religion and Peacemaking Event

On November 9th, Professor Mohammed Abu-Nimer spoke at the United States Institute of Peace event: Religion and Peacemaking: Reflections on Current Challenges and Future Prospects. This event marked the ten year anniversary of USIP’s Religion and Peacemaking program, the event featured a panel of practitioners, policymakers, and academics who addressed the challenges and opportunities of religious peacebuilding and how outside actors, including the U.S. government, can support such opportunities. Speakers featured in addition to Professor Abu-Nimer included Scott Appleby of the Kroc Institute for International Studies, Jackie Ogega of Religions for Peace and others.
