A Discussion with Jeff Goodell

Jeff Goodell is a world-renowned writer on climate and energy issues and contributing editor with Rolling Stone magazine. He recently spent two hours in conversation with President Obama in Alaska, discussing the dangers climate change presents to vulnerable populations and what we have to do to address the biggest challenge of our time.

Goodell will join SIS Professor, Paul Wapner to talk about his conversation with the President, the prospects for a climate agreement in Paris and what comes next, and his thoughts on the world's options for avoiding catastrophic climate change.

Goodell's books include Big Coal: The Dirty Secret Behind America's Energy Future and How to Cool the Planet: Geoengineering and Audacious Quest to Fix Earth's Climate, which won the Grantham Prize for Journalism.
