SIS will screen a film from the Embassy of Japan titled, "Always-Sunset on Third Street-3"
The year is 1964. With Tokyo preparing to host the Olympics, buildings and highways are being constructed at a feverish pace, and excitement fills the air. Amidst all the change and commotion, the people of Third Street continue to carry on with their lives, as colorful and vibrant as ever.
Ryunosuke Chagawa continues to write his serial as the lead writer on the Adventure Boys Book magazine and manage his candy shop that has been renovated to include a small restaurant, which Hiromi runs. Hiromi is pregnant and the family prepares to welcome a new addition to their household.
One day, Hiromi discovers a telegram that Chagawa had hidden. Who sent this telegram? And what future awaits the people of Third Street?
Visit Chef Geoff's Restaurant after the film and receive one free dessert or glass of wine with any entree. Each guest must bring the certificate distributed during the film to redeem the deal. All details are listed on the certificate.
Chef Geoff's is just a five minute walk from the university.
