Dr. Sharma is an Associate Professor of Economics with tenure at Elmira College in New York where he regularly teaches courses in Economic Principles, Econometrics and Game Theory. Prior to Elmira College, he was a faculty in the Department of Economics, Farmer School of Business, Miami University, Ohio. In 2008, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of Economics, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Sharma has taught a variety of courses in Economics. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed Economics journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Sharma has presented his research papers at numerous conferences nationally and internationally. He is interested in studying many issues from various sub-fields of Economics. His past research has focused on issues from Labor Economics, Development Economics, Public Economics, International Economics, Industrial Organization, and Sports Economics. Amarendra earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cincinnati. His doctoral dissertation was the first of its kind on the Economics of Internet Search Engines. He has also received two Masters Degrees in Economics from the University of Cincinnati and Delhi School of Economics, respectively; and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors from Ramjas College, University of Delhi.
