Bio
Dr. Shai André Divon is a Fulbright Scholar with the School of International Service, American University Washington DC, and a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). His work focuses on power through foreign assistance, development politics, and post-conflict reconstruction. Shai’s research and experience is varied and interdisciplinary, and includes work on US foreign assistance policy in Africa, gender based violence and legal pluralism, and police reform in post conflicts states. His postdoctoral research is linked to Noragric’ s project :‘Greenmentality: A Political Ecology of the Green Economy in the Global South’, looking at what type of governance does the unfolding green economy lead to in the Global South, how does it influence rural production systems and how do rural people respond to its implementation.
