- Ali E. Erol's research is at the intersection of Turkey, critical language studies, and nationalism. His current research project focuses on developing the notion of war grammar and its hegemony over different fields of social discourse in Turkey. He is also a part of a project researching refugee crisis in Syria and its impact on Turkey. His scholarly articles appeared in International Journal of Communication, Journal of Language and Social Psychology, Journal of International Political Anthropology, and Unrest Magazine. He also frequently writes in Turkish mass media and popular magazines.
