Laura Field

Professorial Lecturer School of International Service

Laura K. Field is a political theorist in the School of International Service. She works on questions of character, identity, and ethics, and has a particular interest in the thought of Rousseau and Nietzsche. She has published articles in The Review of Politics, The Journal of Politics, and Polity, and has been funded by the Social Science and Research Council of Canada. At AU, she teaches courses on classical political thought, environmental ethics, ethics in the international sphere, and the history of the social sciences. Dr. Field is director of the Olson Scholars Program.
