Tenure Track Faculty Positions
The School of International Service invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall (August) 2014. The position is in the field of transnational security studies. Responsibilities include teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students, university service, and participating in SIS and University governance. Qualifications: Ph.D. or highest equivalent degree in a relevant discipline and record of teaching and research excellence. We seek highly productive scholar-teachers whose work is theoretically grounded, empirically tested, and policy relevant. The ideal candidate will share the School’s commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and service. The School of International Service is ranked by its peers as a top ten international relations program at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and consists of more than 100 full-time faculty working across multiple disciplines.
We seek candidates with a focus on Transnational Security, broadly defined, including scholars who work on the sources and consequences of conflict, non-traditional security challenges, peace-building and post-conflict reconstruction.
