Graduate Research Awards

Are you planning to travel domestically or abroad for research, a conference or an internship? The GraduateStudent Research Awards, sponsored by the SIS Dean's Office and the SIS Graduate Student Council, are designed to subsidize the costs of conference registration and/or travel needs, while also promoting SIS Graduate student scholarship and professionalism.

Award recipients will be given up to $500 for domestic travel and up to $1000 for travel abroad.

Applications are due by March 14, 2011.

Please note that PhD candidates are not eligible for the awards.

Please note that a Graduate Research Award cannot be used to fund a SIS Summer Abroad or Semester Abroad Program. Students accepted into/applying for a SIS Summer Abroad Program may be eligible to apply for the SIS Summer Abroad Scholarship. Further information will be available in spring 2011.
