The members of the GSC are here to help you! Every Spring, a new executive is voted into office;in the beginning of the fall semester, new senators are chosen from their respective programs to be their program's representative in the GSC. Learn more about the Executive Council and the Senators that comprise the SIS GSC!
The Executive Council provides the structure and support for the senators. They do not vote on GSC measures, but instead facilitate the development and execution of projects, proposals, and procedures in collaboration with senators. The President serves as the face of GSC to offices across SIS and AU and the representative of all SIS students in the Graduate Leadership Council (GLC). The other members of the executive council each head a committee tasked with various goals and projects. For more information on committees, click here.
The program Senators are the decision-makers of the GSC and the only members who have voting power. Each senator serves as a representative and advocate for the graduate students in their program. In addition, each senator serves on one of the three GSC committees, which are tasked with various goals and projects. For more information on committees, click here.
