Registering for the Institute

If you are an American University student, you may register for any Institute courses through my.american.edu as you would register for any summer courses.

If you are not an American University student, you can register for the courses using the five simple steps below:

Cost Information

The cost for the Institute is $918 per undergraduate credit or $1111 per graduate credit. The non-credit option is $918 per credit hour of the course. Payment for courses must be submitted two weeks before the Institute begins. American University does not accept credit card payments. Once a participant is registered, he or she can submit electronic payment with an e-check or wire transfer. Applicants preferring to mail payment, must make sure that personal checks are received by the April 28, 2008 deadline.
