Consider joining the 2008-09 ICSF Board. We're accepting applications at icsf@american.edu until February 15 and will announce the new board members shortly after March 1. Your e-mail should include why you want to join the board and ideas for at least two different IC events or initiatives you would like to organize next year.ICSF's IMI Conference Student ScholarshipMarch 13-14, 2008 The ICSF is sponsoring one IC student to attend the Intercultural Management Institute's 9th annual conference free. Note that this only applies to the regular student registration for non-credit participation at the conference. If you plan to attend the IMI conference for credit as a Skills Institute, you are unfortunately not eligible for this sponsorship. If interested, please send an e-mail to icsf@american.edu describing your career or academic plans and aspirations in 500 words or less. Deadline for applications is Friday, Feb. 15. We will send all applications to the IMI staff, who will blindly read them to select the most deserving student without bias. Additionally, the ICSF is one of the sponsors of the conference and will be hosting a breakfast on March 13. Learn more about the conference topics and sessions here. Be a Presenter at the IC Student Research SymposiumWe're already planning the 2008 IC Student Research Symposium for April 15 and we need your help. We need volunteers to make a 10-minute presentation about their SRP or thesis work. It's not as intimidating as it sounds and can be a great way to practice for professional presentations. Your research does not need to be completed at the time of your presentation, but you should have a good framework for your research and possibly some preliminary findings. E-mail the ICSF if you're interested in presenting and give us a brief synopsis of your work. |
