Alicia Ward is pursuing a Master’s degree in Language and Communication at Georgetown University. She is deeply interested in the power of language to define identity and in the way language both shapes and is shaped by society. In addition to her role as a student, she also serves as the Immigration and Compliance Coordinator in Georgetown’s Office of International Programs. She earned her B.A. in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009.
