This training will address the related problems of staff safety / security and the protection of the populations affected in complex emergencies. Typically, these two issues are treated as if they were completely separate. This training will enhance the ability of participants to perform their role safely and effectively in the field while contributing to the overall relief effort. The course will also ensure that the participants understand the conflict sensitive aspects of relief and development as well as the relief and rehabilitation phases of crises.
