Anum Fatima attended the intensive English language program at Harvard University. She completed her High education (grades 9 and 10) in 2006 from The Citizens Foundation School (TCF). She then completed her Intermediate (grades 11 and 12) from Khatoon - e Pakistan Government Degree College in 2008 and obtained the highest percentage in her class. In 2012, Anum earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Management in Karachi, and is currently pursuing an MBA. Upon graduation, Anum aspires to work for in the field of HR as well as give back to The Citizens Foundation. Anum enjoys reading in her spare time.
Hira Aziz completed a summer program in Chemistry at Mount Holyoke College. She is currently completing her A-levels from Beacon house School System and will start her second year of A-levels in the upcoming academic year. She lives in Karachi, which according to her is the best city in Pakistan. Hira’s academic aspirations are varied, with a leaning towards medicine. If there’s one thing for sure, Hira wants to do something good for her country.
Aamna Imam attended the Community of Scholars summer program at American University. Her program offered students the chance to broaden their understanding of international relations and foreign policy at the School of International Service. She recently completed her A-levels in the Beacon house School System. She plans to attend Lahore University of Management Sciences in the fall.
Haleema Aslam attended the Eleanor Roosevelt Center Girls’ Leadership program at Vassar University. She recently completed her A-levels at a public school in Lahore adopted by The Care Foundation. She aspires to attend university and study special education.
Husbun-Nisa Sabir attended the Eleanor Roosevelt Center Girls’ Leadership program at Vassar University. She is currently completing her A-levels at a Development in Literacy (DIL) School in Karachi. Upon completion of her program at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center, Husbun-Nisa was a young DIL ambassador, speaking at events and meetings in California.
Asia Kanwal attended the Summer Science and Engineering Program at Smith College. Asia described her program as exceeding her expectations and as a very positive and enriching experience. After completing her summer program, she shadowed a cardiologist at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Asia is from Lahore, Pakistan and attends a public high school adopted by The Care Foundation. She aspires to attend university and study medicine.
