Communication Leadership for a New Era
The School of Communication is among the top communication schools in the nation and a leader in media innovation. Currently occupying six spaces across campus, the School will be consolidated into one building through a combination of new construction and a restoration of the iconic McKinley Building. The project will increase academic and public spaces and continue AU’s commitment to a sustainable campus. Alumni and friends will fund at least $13 million of the $26 million project through private philanthropy.
The vision of a restored and expanded McKinley Building:
- The architectural renderings include a media innovation lab, 150-seat theater and other exterior views with new plazas and facades.
