American University's School of Communication is teaming up with DC's Fox 5 for Campaign U, a project that will help frame key issues of the 2012 presidential election through student analysis of the candidates and campaigns in written presentations and a live webcast.
Our hope is through their research and analysis you will get a better understanding of the proposals of the candidates. Led by professor Lenny Steinhorn, each week AU student teams will examine issues from such aspects as campaign ads and speeches, internet sites and blogs, polls, TV,newspaper and magazine coverage, outrage and humor and interest groups. Steinhorn, a political communication professor at SOC, has taught at AU since 1995. He is recognized as a leading expert on American politics, culture, and media.
