This short film is from a series called RiverStories produced through the Community Voice Project at American University. The Community Voice Project is an interdisciplinary initiative of faculty and students in SOC's Film and Media Arts, Journalism and Public Communication divisions and the College of Arts and Sciences' Anthropology Department. The project enhances the academic missions of SOC and CAS while showcasing ways to use media as creative tools for public knowledge and action.
