DWC Scholarship
Ten $300 scholarships available: First come, first served.
Criteria:
- Must be eligible for free or reduced price school meals (as documented by a school counselor)
- Send current report card of at least 2.8 GPA
- Counselor/Teacher Recommendation Form
- Essay indicating your interest in attending the program
- Completed summer program application
Scholarship applications will be accepted until all scholarships have been disbursed.
You will be notified via email if you have been awarded a scholarship.
Private Donor Scholarship
Four $750 scholarships available
Criteria:
Send current report card/transcript
- Counselor/Teacher Recommendation Form
- Essay indicating your interest in attending the program
- Include statement from parent indicating need for financial assistance
- Must be a junior or senior in fall 2012
- Completed summer program application
Scholarship applications will be accepted until all scholarships have been disbursed.
You will be notified via email if you have been awarded a scholarship.
D.C. Metropolitan Area Scholarship
Ten full $750 scholarships available: $100 participation fee to be returned to student if attendance is 100%
- Must be eligible for free or reduced price school meals (as documented by a school counselor)
- Send current report card of at least 2.0 GPA
- Send school attendance report for school year
- Counselor/Teacher Recommendation Form
- Essay indicating your interest in attending the program
- Completed summer program application
Scholarship applications will be accepted until all scholarships have been disbursed.
You will be notified via email if you have been awarded a scholarship.
Scholarship recipients will pay a fully refundable $100 participation fee to the Discover the World of Communication Program if accepting scholarship. This $100 participation fee will be refunded on last day of program if the student has been on time and in the class every day.
