- Bill Beaman is an adjunct professor of Public Communication. Founding Partner of OnPoint Strategies LLC, he has coached business and political leaders in public speaking and trained them for media appearances, written speeches and opinion pieces on their behalf, pitched and placed stories using his global media contacts, and redesigned company publications and websites. He has prior experience as a principal at Washington Media Group. Before his work as a communications strategist, Bill spent 31 years as a journalist in high-profile positions. He was editor-in-chief of Campaigns and Elections, the leading publication for those in the business of politics. Prior to this, Bill was Washington Bureau Chief for Reader’s Digest. Before his posting in Washington, Bill was based in Hong Kong for Reader’s Digest, where he launched a bureau responsible for Asia-wide coverage for the magazine’s 49 global editions. Earlier in his career, Bill wrote, produced and broadcast radio documentaries, and wrote and edited for the National Geographic Society. He has been a frequent guest on television—including CNN, Fox News and MSNBC—as well as on national radio programs.
