Christine Lawrence

- Christine C. Lawrence is a full-time professor of Journalism. She brings her experience covering politics and government to the SOC journalism division having worked for 10 years as a senior editor and reporter for Congressional Quarterly. She has continued to be a contributing writer and editor for a number of CQ books, including Politics in America, Congress and the Nation, and the Guide to Congress. She also has taught as an SOC adjunct professor since 1993. In 2008, she was awarded the University Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching in an Adjunct Appointment. She earned a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American, and a master’s in English Literature from Georgetown University.
