Emily Brigham is an adjunct professor of Film and Media Arts. She is a freelance documentary editor in the Washington, DC area. For her work on A Place to Belong, a 26-minute cinema documentary about children with Asperger’s Syndrome, Emily received the Best Editing Award at the American Visions awards ceremony. The film also received Peer Gold in the Student Non-Dramatic category at the TIVA-DC Awards and will soon be shown on PBS.
Emily received a Master of Arts in Film and Video from American University and a bachelor’s degree in European history from The George Washington University. She has also completed the Professional Program at the Washington School of Photography.
