Joe Gizzi is an adjunct professor of Public Communication. He specializes in Entertainment Communications. Outside of the School of Communications, Gizzi directs marketing strategy for leading brands within entertainment, travel and apparel at New Media Strategies, the industry pioneer in social media marketing. He develops campaigns for a wide array of clients including NBC, Disney, ABC Family, Ray-Ban, and Sony Pictures. Gizzi builds upon a communications career highlighted by work with the Special Olympics, International CES and Grammy Awards.
Prior to joining New Media Strategies, Gizzi oversaw the marketing, public affairs and event promotions for one of the nation’s top trade groups, the Consumer Electronics Association, and its colossal trade show, the International CES. Working with CEA’s membership, including more than 2,200 leading electronics companies from Microsoft to Dell, he helped to spearhead the association’s grassroots marketing and industry initiatives, including building the groundwork for the start-up competition i-stage and the Greener Gadgets environmental conference.
