School of Communication
JoAnn Grbach is an adjunct professor of Journalism. She is a communication professional with more than 15 years of experience in the news media and public information field. She is currently the Public Information Officer with the City of Rockville, which is currently the third largest city in Maryland. There, she is responsible for all media inquiries, external communication through print, web, television and social media communication tools. Prior to working at Rockville, she was the Deputy Managing Editor for The Gazette, a subsidiary of The Washington Post. After years of working with journalists, all skilled in their craft, she now works with engineers, police officers, planners, budget analysts and others for whom writing is not their primary skill. I believe good writing can help you succeed, and outperform the competition, in any career.
